49ers Mourn the Passing of Aldon Smith at 36

“Aldon will be remembered for his infectious smile that lit up every room he walked into,” the 49ers said in a statement following the passing of former LB Aldon Smith at age 36. During his time in San Francisco, Smith appeared in 50 games (30 starts), recording 152 tackles and 44 sacks. The cause of the death was rumored to be suicide.
