A.J. Hinch Calls Framber Valdez A ‘Major Upgrade’ For Any Team

Tigers' manager Hinch praised Valdez’s profile as “tough to beat,” saying he “pounds the zone... gets the ball on the ground,” and “doesn’t give up homers.” Hinch added that Valdez provides “quality” innings year after year and isn’t “a one-trick pony.” He recalled beating him in a wild-card game, but said Valdez “comes back for more” and “wants the ball.”
