Speaking on criticism over 65-game rule, Silver claimed that data suggests rest days may cause more injuries. "The only place we see upticks is after the All-Star break," Silver said on The Athletic. "It may be because players are not getting appropriate load during those days they take off." The rule stays through 2029-30 per the CBA.
