Silver said the league still expects its investigation into Kawhi Leonard and Aspiration to conclude this summer. “We all have an interest in wrapping this up,” Silver said. He clarified that “the league did not pause the trade,” explaining that the teams involved chose not to proceed while the investigation remains ongoing. “The investigation needs to run its course.”
