Adam Vinatieri Backs NFL Adopting UFL's 4-Point Field Goal Rule
Soon-to-be Hall of Fame Kicker Adam Vinatieri endorsed the NFL adopting the UFL's four-point field goal. “I think it’s actually a really good idea... I like it. I think it’s pretty awesome,” Vinatieri told ESPN. He added the rule would “change the philosophy” of teams and analytics by rewarding successful kicks from beyond 50 yards.
