Al Riveron Steps Down as ACC Supervisor of Football Officials

The ACC announced Riveron is stepping down as supervisor of football officials after serving in the role since November 2022. Riveron, the NFL’s first Hispanic referee, helped launch the league’s gameday operations center in Charlotte and introduced live replay-review audio on select broadcasts. Commissioner Jim Phillips praised Riveron’s “transparency and collaborative approach” as the ACC begins its search for a successor.
