Brendan Donovan Breaks It Open With Three-Run Homer for Mariners
Donovan gave Seattle breathing room in the fourth, crushing a three-run homer off Guardians right-hander Slade Cecconi to stretch the lead from 1-0 to 4-0. The shot came on a 92 mph four-seamer and traveled 340 feet with a 99.8 mph exit velocity. It was the big swing the Mariners needed to seize early control.
