Featherweight champion is training with #14-ranked lightweight Ruffy ahead of his January 31 title defense against Lopes. The video posted online showed Volkanovski working on sharp, fast striking sequences with Ruffy. Volkanovski (27-4) fought and defeated Lopes (27-7) in April via unanimous decision. Lopes earned the rematch by stopping Jean Silva with a spinning elbow in April.
