Andy Murray Pushes South America Masters Swing Roger Federer Once Questioned

Murray urged the ATP to add a South America swing with a Masters 1000, writing on X: “The way the fans support the tournaments there is incredible… Vamos ATP Tour!” Federer was cooler in 2013: “It needs to make sense… if you add one, you almost have to take another one away.” The 2026 calendar already lists nine Masters 1000s plus 16 ATP 500s.
