“If they tell me Ilia is fighting Gaethje at the White House, I’ll ask…let me go down [for the title at 145],” Tsarukyan said. “We did the math and my body can make 145.” Snubbed for UFC 324’s interim shot despite sitting #1 at lightweight, he sees Topuria’s return timeline and Gaethje’s new interim belt as a logjam. “If I’m the 145-champion…then go up.”
