Aryna Sabalenka Withdraws From Doha, Hands Iga Swiatek Top Seed

World No. 1 Sabalenka pulled out of next week’s WTA 1000 Doha event after losing the Australian Open final to Elena Rybakina. Several stars also withdrew, leaving Swiatek as the new No. 1 seed after arriving early to practice. Sabalenka won Doha in 2020 but has struggled since. She’s expected back in Dubai on Feb. 15.
