Austin Wells to Play for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic

Wells was born in Scottsdale, Arizona, and grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. His mother's parents are both from the Dominican Republic. This Dominican heritage allows Wells to suit up for Team DR at the Classic. His mother, Michelle, and father, Greg, met at the University of Arizona, where Michelle was a gymnast, and Greg was a baseball player.
