Autopsy Reveals Dominiq Ponder Had BAC Over Twice Legal Limit in Fatal Crash
The Buffaloes quarterback had a blood-alcohol level of .167, more than twice Colorado’s legal limit, at the time of his fatal crash, per an autopsy report. Ponder died in the March incident from “multiple blunt force injuries” after losing control of his vehicle, striking a pole, and catching fire. Authorities also cited speed as a factor. Ponder’s family later urged “responsible choices” in the aftermath of the tragedy.
