Barry Pearson Dies at 76 After NFL Career With Steelers and Chiefs

Former NFL wide receiver Pearson died Aug. 16 at 76, according to Steelersnow.com. Pearson signed with Pittsburgh in 1972 and played a role in the Immaculate Reception on his first career play. The Steelers said Noll chose him because “Barry’s steady hands would do the trick.” Pearson later played three seasons with Kansas City before a serious knee injury ended his career in 1976.
