Bears Save $2 Million in Salary Cap Space With Amen Ogbongbemiga Decision

The Bears officially released veteran linebacker Amen Ogbongbemiga, marking the team's first cost-saving roster move of the 2026 offseason. This decision clears $2.07 million in salary cap space while leaving just $375,000 in dead money. Ogbongbemiga, a key special teams contributor who appeared in 25 games over two seasons, was entering the final year of a two-year contract extension.
