Bengals To Cut QB Desmond Ridder

The Bengals are releasing quarterback Desmond Ridder as they trim to 53 players before the deadline, per NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero. Ridder, 25, signed in July after stints with the Raiders and Falcons, where he started 17 games. His exit leaves Cincinnati with only Joe Burrow and Jake Browning at quarterback heading into Week 1.
