Bill Cowher: Assistant Coaches Are "More Important" Than Head Coach
Cowher explained why he prioritized coaching his assistants over players as Steelers head coach. "We look at the head coaches, but let's look at the assistant coaches. To me, those are more important. I didn't coach the players as a head coach. I coached the coaches," Cowher said. "The game is chess. It's not checkers... let the coaches call their games."
