Billie Jean King Honors Arthur Ashe 33 Years After His Death

Billie Jean King marked 33 years since Arthur Ashe died of AIDS-related pneumonia at 49. Ashe broke barriers as the first Black man to win men’s singles at Wimbledon, the U.S. Open and the Australian Open. King wrote she’s “thinking of him and honoring his legacy,” as tennis again reflects on his impact on and off court.
