Billy Jack Haynes Trial Set for Spring 2027 After Fitness Ruling

Haynes’ murder case is now scheduled for trial between April 26 and May 7, 2027, after a court found he had “gained fitness to proceed” in February. He was charged in 2024 with second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon in the death of his wife, Janette Becraft, after previously being ruled unfit for trial.
