Blazers Assistant General Managers Suspended For Violating League Rules, Blazers Fined

Blazers Assistant General Managers Sergei Olivia and Mike Schmitz have been suspended for two weeks without pay for violating league policy of "governing contact with draft-ineligible players" as they scouted Yang Hansen in December 2023. The Blazers have also been fined $100,000. Portland did eventually trade for Yang on draft night in 2025 after the Grizzlies selected him 16th overall.
