Blow For Bears: Injured Coby Bryant Likely to Miss 8 Games This Season
Bears safety Coby Bryant underwent knee surgery and will miss four to six months. Initially expected to miss eight to ten weeks without surgery, the reigning Super Bowl champion is now sidelined until December. Bryant signed a three-year, $40 million deal with $25.75 million guaranteed. He had a career-high four interceptions with Seattle last season, leaving Xavier Woods and rookie Dillon Thieneman to anchor Chicago’s secondary.
