Brandon McSwain to Join Ross Chastain's Team As New Crew Chief in 2026

McSwain will serve as a full-time crew chief for the first time, replacing Phil Surgen, who has worked with Chastain since 2021. Chastain and Surgen have won six races together, including the Coca-Cola 600 this year, and have one Championship 4 appearance. McSwain has been an engineer with William Byron since 2019 and served as interim crew chief for the team.
