Brice Turang, Pete Crow-Armstrong Stretch USA Lead to 5-0

After Roman Anthony’s infield single and Cal Raleigh’s walk, Turang lined an RBI single to make it 4-0 in the sixth. Crow-Armstrong followed with another run-scoring hit as USA built a 5-0 cushion against Canada. The two insurance runs gave the Americans breathing room after Alex Bregman’s earlier grounder and error had already opened the scoring gap.
