Browns Likely to Choose Artificial Turf For $2.6 Billion Stadium Set for 2029 Opening

The Browns’ new $2.6 billion stadium, scheduled to open for the 2029 NFL season, is expected to feature artificial turf, according to ProFootballTalk. Cleveland currently plays on natural grass, but the switch would give the NFL 17 turf teams and 15 grass teams. The development comes amid renewed grass-versus-turf debate following the 2026 World Cup, which required eight NFL venues to install natural grass.
