Browns Pull Back 5-Year Draft Pick Trade Proposal After Lack of Support

Cleveland has withdrawn their proposal to allow teams to trade draft picks up to five years in advance after failing to gain league-wide support. The rule will remain capped at three years, and no vote will take place at the NFL owners' meeting in Phoenix. Tom Pelissero reported the development, while Sean McVay had already indicated the proposal had virtually no chance of passing.
