Browns Restructure Deshaun Watson’s Contract to Clear Cap Space
The Cleveland Browns have restructured Deshaun Watson’s contract, freeing nearly $36 million in cap space and making the team compliant ahead of the new league year. Watson was set to carry an NFL-high $80.7M cap hit in 2026. The QB, who missed 2025 while rehabbing an Achilles tear, is expected to compete for the starting job this offseason.
