Bryan Pata Murder Case Ends In Mistrial
The murder trial in the killing of former Miami standout Bryan Pata, who was shot multiple times outside his apartment on Nov 7, 2006, ended in a mistrial after jurors said they were deadlocked. Judge Cristina Miranda declared a hung jury in the case against former teammate Rashaun Jones, who has pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors plan to seek a new trial within 90 days.

Brennan Marion Gets Emotional Remembering Dominiq Ponder
Colorado offensive coordinator Brennan Marion fought back tears while speaking about quarterback Dominiq Ponder, who died at 23 in a March 1 single-vehicle crash in Boulder. “You see somebody every day… We’ll just save a spot for him in the room,” Marion said. State Patrol said Ponder’s Tesla lost control on a curve, struck a guardrail and utility pole, then caught fire.
