Buccaneers Mourn the Passing of Sports Journalist Joey Knight at 57

“We are deeply saddened. Joey was a respected member of our local media who leaves behind a legacy built on professionalism and integrity,” Nelson Luis, Chief Communications Officer of the Buccaneers, tweeted. Joey Knight, who covered the Buccaneers for the Tampa Bay Times and the Tampa Tribune for more than three decades, died on Thursday morning at 57. He had been battling cancer for several years.
