C.J. Gardner-Johnson Claims Texans Cut Him After Confrontation With GM's Friend

C. J. Gardner-Johnson claimed his release from the Texans stemmed from a confrontation with someone he described as "the GM's friend" during training camp, not locker-room issues. Gardner-Johnson denied reports that he criticized teammates or their contracts, insisting he was never a problem in the locker room. Houston GM Nick Caserio has previously said the move simply "didn't work out."
