Cam Newton Says Notre Dame “Hasn’t Been Relevant in Years”
On First Take, Newton ripped the Fighting Irish during a CFP discussion, shouting, “Bump Notre Dame” and claiming the team “hasn’t been relevant in years.” When reminded Notre Dame reached the national title game last season vs. Ohio State, the ex-NFL MVP doubled down: “You take that one national championship with coach Freeman out of the equation, they have not been relevant for years.”
