Canelo Alvarez Claims He Was Open to a Rematch Before Terence Crawford Retired

Alvarez said he wanted an immediate rematch because the first fight didn’t sit right. "After the fight, I say [to Crawford] we need to run back this fight," he said, insisting a rematch “is going to be different.” Alvarez added that he still gives Crawford credit, but believes he should've accepted the rematch.
