Cardinals Recall Bryan Torres for MLB Debut

Cardinals are recalling Torres from Triple-A for his MLB debut. The Puerto Rican native is hitting .336 with a .454 on-base percentage and .477 slugging this season. Torres has more walks than strikeouts in 166 plate appearances. He replaces Nathan Church on the injured list. The 28-year-old has risen from the independent leagues for this call.
