Casey Mears Makes Daytona 500 After Corey LaJoie's Last-Lap Crash in Duel

Mears was a lap down with four to go and was well behind LaJoie on the overtime restart. After contact between John Hunter Nemechek and LaJoie triggered a multi-car crash, Mears did not lift, passing a spinning LaJoie to book his place for the 500. Joey Logano won the duel.
