CBS, TNT Post Best Opening Day in NCAA Tournament History

Thursday’s men’s tournament opener averaged 9.8 million viewers nationwide across CBS, TBS, TNT, and truTV, making it the most-watched first-round opening day ever. The primetime window, led by Michigan-Howard and VCU-North Carolina, drew 12.5 million viewers, also a record. Overall tournament viewership is averaging 9.3 million viewers so far, up 5% from last year.

Bucks Waive Cam Thomas

Weeks after Doc Rivers compared Cam Thomas to 6th MOTY legends such as Lou Williams and Jamal Crawford, the Bucks have now waived him. He played 18 games for Milwaukee after being waived by the Nets. He averaged 10.3 points on sub-28% shooting from beyond the arc. He was however, given around 16 minutes per game which isn't a ton.

UConn torched Syracuse 98-45 in the Round of 32 with Azzi Fudd dropping 34 points without playing a single minute in the fourth. Postgame, Azzi and Strong had a fairly lackadaisical postgame presser.
