North Carolina quickly learned one dream candidate isn’t budging. Less than 12 hours after Hubert Davis was fired, Stevens removed himself from consideration for the Tar Heels job, according to CBS Sports. The Celtics executive hasn’t coached since 2021 and has repeatedly passed on Indiana. UNC’s search now shifts toward realistic targets like Tommy Lloyd, Dusty May and Billy Donovan.
