Chiefs Guard Trey Smith Recalls Doctors Finding Blood Clots in Both Lungs

“The doctor said, ‘Hey son, we found blood clots in both sides of your lungs. They can be fatal. It’s good we caught it,’” Smith recalled. He added that he realized something was wrong when he found it “hard to breathe” and felt like he had lost around 15 lbs. Smith later recovered and went on to win two Super Bowls with the Chiefs.
