Chiefs' Move to Kansas Could Cost Players Millions in State Taxes

The Chiefs' move from Missouri to Kansas in 2031 could reduce players' take-home pay because Kansas has a higher state income tax rate (5.58%) than Missouri (4.7% plus a 1% earnings tax).
