Chiefs Reportedly Back Away From Rashee Rice Extension Plans

Chiefs are not considering a contract extension for Rice at this time. Rice is currently serving a 30-day jail sentence after violating probation terms tied to his 2024 hit-and-run case, while also recovering from a knee surgery. In 2026, Rice will play the final season of his 4-year, $6,495,208 rookie contract with the Chiefs, which includes $3,519,025 in guaranteed money.
