Chris Paul Retires After Raptors Waive Him
Paul announced his retirement on social media after Toronto waived him without a game. “This is it! After over 21 years I’m stepping away from basketball.” He wrote, “The game always gave me a reason to SHOW UP!!!” Paul thanked “teammates, coaches, staff, executives and most of all family,” adding he will have “much more time to start!”

Jalen Johnson Commits to Participating in the Dunk Contest “One Day”
When asked if he'd volunteer his skills for the Slam Dunk contest, Johnson said, "I will be in the dunk contest one day." Moments later, Richard Jefferson tried to get a rise out of Johnson, saying, "I don't think he has enough bounce to be in the Dunk contest." Jalen replied, "sounds great, we'll see when the time comes."

Shams Compared Himself to Steph Curry Before Scoring 0 Points in All-Star Celebrity Game
When asked about his player comp before the All-Star Celebrity game, Shams said, "I would say Steph Curry but I won’t be that audacious." However, he then changed it to Jannero Pargo, describing him as a "microwave scorer." Unfortunately, Shams wasn't able to live up to either comparison, scoring 0 points on 0-4 shooting and recording 3 turnovers.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Happy His Team Got the Win in All-Star Celebrity Game
Giannis admitted it was tough to make substitutions and decisions as coach, but was happy his team beat Team Anthony 65-58 in the All-Star Celebrity game. "Everybody did a good job just playing hard and playing to win," Giannis said. He also said, "I enjoy winning," clearly happy with the result. He was very vocal throughout the game.
