Christian McCaffrey Makes AP History With Three Award Finalist Spots
After AP announced its 2026 NFL Honors finalists, per Adam Schefter, Christian McCaffrey has emerged as the first player ever named a finalist for MVP, OPOY, and Comeback Player in one season. After injuries limited the 49ers RB to four games in 2024, McCaffrey played all 17 games in 2025, totaling 2,126 scrimmage yards and 17 touchdowns for San Francisco.
