Clippers Refused To Give James Harden An $80 Million Extension

Harden has a $42.3 million player option for the 2026-27 season and so he demanded a 2 year/$80 million extension to secure his future into his late 30s. The Clippers resisted on this. Tomer Azarly reports LAC is "steadfast in their unwillingness to go beyond 2027" as they're "prioritizing their cap space" that summer.
