Cowboys to Sign Former UFL DB Ameer Speed

Speed worked out for the Cowboys this week. He played for the Houston Gamblers, recording five pass breakups and 14 tackles in five games. The 26-year-old entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick of the Patriots in 2023 and has also had stints with the Colts, Bears, and Browns. In 2025, Speed appeared in two games for the Texans and totaled two tackles.
