Cristiano Ronaldo Breaks World Cup Knockout Age Records Against Croatia
Ronaldo made more history in Portugal’s 2-1 Round of 32 win over Croatia, becoming the oldest player to appear in a World Cup knockout match at 41 years, 147 days. His 68th-minute penalty also made him the oldest knockout-stage scorer and gave him his first World Cup knockout goal. It was his 26th tournament appearance, one behind Lothar Matthäus.
