Ronaldo's final World Cup bid started with dropped points in Houston. João Neves headed Portugal ahead in the 6th minute off a Pedro Neto cross. Wissa then headed home in first-half stoppage time, DR Congo's first-ever World Cup goal, to level at 1-1. Ronaldo had Portugal's best second-half chance but fired wide at NRG Stadium.
