Cubs To Place Dansby Swanson On 10-Day IL Due To Oblique Injury

Swanson left during the third inning of today's 11-4 loss to the Cardinals with left-side discomfort. Manager Craig Counsell confirmed that the 2x All-Star has an oblique injury that will result in a 10-day IL. Swanson, who has 18 homers and 66 RBIs this season, will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the extent and nature of the problem.
