Cyle Larin Becomes Second Canadian to Score at World Cup

Larin came off the bench and scored in the 77th minute as Canada drew 1-1 with Bosnia in their 2026 World Cup opener. The goal earned the host nation their first ever World Cup point in history. Larin thus became only the second Canadian player to score at a World Cup, joining Alphonso Davies, who netted in 2022.
