Damon Jones Reportedly Put Up 2016 Championship Ring as Collateral to Secure a Loan

Jones reportedly borrowed $10,000 from Scott Kerr. The 2016 championship ring he won as Cavaliers assistant coach was collateral. According to NBC News, Jones failed to repay the loan plus a $4000 fee or provide the collateral by August 2017. Three other men filed complaints against Jones for failing to repay loans worth thousands of dollars between 2023 and 2024.
