Dana White Says UFC Safety Record Separates It From Boxing

White defended UFC’s safety record, saying the promotion has gone 30 years with “never had a death or serious injury,” unlike boxing, where he claimed “six to seven” fighters die yearly. He credited medical spending before, during, and after fights for reducing risk, adding, “Cheerleading can’t say that,” while arguing UFC’s structure makes MMA safer.
