Dave Roberts Gives Roki Sasaki ‘More Leash’ After Turnaround

Sasaki allowed one run, one hit and one walk with seven strikeouts over 5.1 innings, extending his six-start run of at least five innings. Roberts said he no longer feels “on pins and needles” and can give him “a little more leash.” After demotion chatter, Sasaki owns a 4.59 ERA through 10 starts and says he’s “pretty far” from ceiling.
