Cousins said Carlisle tried recruiting him to Dallas in his prime years by sending “weird selfies” and texting, “I’m thinking about you, and I really want to coach you.” Cousins replied, “I left them all red cause I don’t know how to respond to that.” He called Carlisle a “championship coach” who’s “well respected” in the league.
